Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
When she was initially inspired from the shadows that she saw in the grasses of trees, she worked for months to create a method that does not portray the subject in a 2-dimensional picture. Instead, the object is transformed into a reproduction of itself, where the surface becomes the carrier of it's individual interpretation of the subject, particularly when the subject is live or perishable objects for example, like humans or fruits. Alexa Meade's work is ephemeral however the photograph is what remains. Both the painting and photographic techniques are so closely coordinated that the end result is nothing but a two-dimensional flat space, which achieves trompe-l'oeil. In this, the third dimension can only be seen within certain places like near the eyes or in hair. Occasionally, Meade integrates her painted models into the 3D space around them, allowing the models to be part of their own self-created environment. The lines between performance, installation, photography and painting are thus dissolved.
