Selena Gomez - an international actor and singer - has become well-known worldwide. One of the projects she's been a part of that has had the greatest successful is the Disney series called Wizards of Waverly Place. Her real name is Selena Marie Gomez. Her birth date was the 22nd of July 1992 at Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez were the parents of Selena. Selena's mom was 16 years old at the time she was born. When she was just 9 years old Selena made her first job in the showbiz industry by playing Gianna in Barney and her Friends. Through this she was among the thousands of children who have had the opportunity to interact with the humanoid purple dinosaur which has grown to become famous in the history. Selena made an appearance in many episodes of seasons 7 & 8 between 2001-2003. Fun facts: Demi Lovato, who was part of Barney's Friends during that time as well, worked alongside Selena. Also, she was offered the character of Emily Grace Garcia in the 2006 Brain Zapped program for which she wrote a song.
